Patis je ihličnatá drevina pôvodom z Japonska dorastajúci 3 až 9 m. Tmavozelené ihlice sú na stopke v dvoch radoch oproti sebe rebrovito. Druh je dvojdomý a ľahko rozpoznateľný vďaka samčím kvetom, ktoré neskôr hnednú a nadobudnú guličkový tvar. Darí sa im v polotieni na bohatých pôdach čo je jeden z dôvodov prečo sa u nás v parku mu tak darí. Používa sa ako doplnkový sortiment do parkov na tienistých miestach
Harrington's Patis - Cephalotaxus harringtonii
Patis is a coniferous tree native to Japan, growing to 3 to 9 m. The dark green needles are arranged in two rows on the stem, ribbed. The species is dioecious and easily recognizable thanks to the male flowers, which later turn brown and take on a spherical shape. They thrive in partial shade on rich soils, which is one of the reasons why they thrive so well in our park. They are used as a supplementary assortment for parks in shady places
